Artist Laura Parnes asked us to design the costumes for her new film, County Down, a psycho thriller-made-comic set in a decadent gated community.

New Fibers for Summer 09
Simple shapes and smart details for the (almost) unfinished tunics we have designed for this season. Bamboo and viscose for the body, organic cotton canvas for the totes.
The influence of our Swedish intern has determined no-color clothing and concrete paints for the furniture.
Our Williamsburg space is now half pop and half neo-utility.

QMA/Bulova Gallery
475 Kent Ave artists in residence are showing their latest work at the QMA/Bulova Gallery in Queens, a show curated by Koan-Jeff Baysa and Hitomi Iwasaki.
For the opening night of "475 Kent Lives" the new piece "officematter" was performend by actress-model Jen Jaffe.
Officematter is a reflection on city bureocracy and fashion, a fictional environment re-created at the gallery showed a city employee taking care of personal business.

Video piece at Brooklyn Industries Chelsea
The video piece "BROOKLYN", originally created for the Optica Festival in Spain in 2006 is now on view at the BKI Chelsea store.
A first collaboration with BKI, a line of teeshirts with original artwork created by GGrippo accompanies the projection and is for sale at all BKI stores in New York.

Project Window
Stylist and designer Lula Aldunate (formerly from Elle Deco mag) just moved to NY and immediately joined ggrippo.com for a holiday window installation in our Project Window on Bedford Ave, in Williamsburg.
The Project Window space will be part of a new creative strategy to feature the work of talented emerging creators right in our headquaters in Brooklyn.
For this project, Ms Aldunate recreated a Southamerican Christmas decor, an environment specially conceived to introduce her new hand-made crochetted blankets, now available at nydesignroom.

ART banner
A new collaborative project is on view outside The Hogar Collection Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
"ART" is a street banner that both marks the spot where art is sold (the gallery) and is in itself and art piece.
The plastic mesh piece was conceived and made by GGrippo and placed on the building facade by sculptor Todd Rosenbaum, director of the art gallery.

we create and produce in Brooklyn, but our inspiration comes from all over, this summer we were working in Vienna and met artist/model Belinda Kazeem, who inspired new cashmere and felt pieces for out FW2008 collection.
